How do we start? A no-cost, no obligation portrait design consultation is recommended before the sitting. You get a tour of the studio and find out if you would like to hire me. We would look at some samples, discuss the style of portrait you want. Based on the purpose of the portrait, we would come up with ideas for the clothing to wear to the session. I like to be creative and artistic, and do not use a fixed lighting scheme for everyone, the consultation will also influence the lighting and backgrounds used during the session.

HOW LONG does the session take? A studio session can be as short as 30 minutes or as long as you want. A standard session is 1 hour.

What is the session like?

  1. Bullet Immediate feedback! You can view the photos on HDTV during the session as the photos are being taken!

  2. Bullet Your input during the session will guide the session and you decide the “keepers”

  3. Bullet We work together to create YOUR portrait

  4. Bullet The experience, the one thing clients agree on - it is a lot of FUN to have your portrait taken!

  5. Bullet You may change clothing several times as needed.

What happens after the session? We make sure we “got” the photo by doing a quick review of the photos taken during the session, then we make a preview appointment for proofing and selection. At the preview appointment, you will see the photos in a slide show. You select which photos and sizes and frames you want to purchase and pay for the order.

You will pick up your order anywhere from 1 week to 4-6 weeks depending on what was ordered.
